Get the new potential goal to quit smoking without weight

A new study reveals a brain mechanism which may be white of new drugs designed to help people quit smoking without weight. This research, funded by the National Institute on the abuse of drugs (NIDA), part of the national institutes of health, shows that a specific subclass of the Nicotinic receptor in the brain is involved in the ability of nicotine to reduce the consumption of food in rodents. Previous research showed that on average, weight gain after smoking is less than 10 pounds, but the fear of weight gain may deter some people who want to quit smoking.

In the study researchers found that a nicotine as a drug, cytisine, specifically active Nicotinic Receptors in the hypothalamus - a centre of the brain which controls food. This resulted in the activation of a circuit of the reduction of fat and food consumption in a mouse model. This effect is very specific that a drug that prevents binding of cytisine to receiving hypothalamus had blocked the reduction in food consumption.

The use of tobacco, nicotine is one of the most widely used addictive drugs and the leading cause of preventable illness, disability and death to the United States. According to the centers of prevention and control of diseases, smoking has produced more than 440 000 preventable deaths each year: 1-5 overall U.S. death. Despite spending to health of smoking well documented, many smokers report difficulty quitting.

"These models enable us to explore mouse mechanisms by acts of nicotine in the brain to reduce the consumption of food", said Dr. Marina Picciotto, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut and main author of the article. "We have found that nicotine reduced body fat and eating via the receptors involved in the aversion of nicotine and withdrawal rather than reward and reinforcement".

"These results suggest that drugs specifically for this track could relieve nicotine withdrawal, as well as reduce the risk of overeating during quitting smoking,", said Dr. NIDA Nora d. Volkow. "Although further research is needed, such a highly selective compound could be more effective than drugs that act on more than one type of Nicotine.".

How to avoid food cravings

The only way to really prevent food cravings is to take control of your sugar addiction. Most of the people who are overweight are addicted to sugar. But few people know that it is possible.

When you eat sweet foods and foods rich in refined carbohydrates your body releases a hormone which makes you the property. These hormones called endorphins; when sugar is consumed the endorphins released in the blood are serotonin and the norepiniephrine.

The release of these good endorphins sensation is caused by high levels of insulin in the blood, which is enabled with the sugar.

Insulin breaks down the sugar quickly towards a rapid drop of the endorphiones, the leaves are feeling tired and lethargic and generally a bit sad. The solution is to eat more sugar to feel well again. Takes time to set up a vicious circle of sugar consumption, get a buzz from the endorphins, undergo a sugar crash and resume the process.

When you arrive at a cake, biscuits, chocolate or bread its because your body is envious of the sugar they contain. It is the main cause of the increase of weight, fatigue, and mood in the majority of people.

Sugar is the main reason why you become overweight, not the consumption of fat or protein. Although FAT contains a lot of energy, its when the excess sugar and the supply of liver glycogen are full, the body begins to store energy in fat cells.

The only way to overcome these sugar cravings is to reduce the amount of sugar that is consumed. Stop eating sugar, cakes, cookies, candies, ice cream and food made from flour, refined as bread and pasta. One reason why low carbohydrate diets are effective in the early stages is that they significantly reduce the consumption of sugar.

To overcome the food cravings give sugar for four weeks. Eat fruits, vegetables and salads that are nutritious, but avoid nuts and concentrated fruit juice, because they also contain lots of sugar.

Sports and fresh vegetables will help to control sugar cravings. A trick is to take a spoonful of coffee powder L-glutamine before meals as this helps control appetite. We should also eat lot of tomatoes, as recent research have shown that these also help suppress the appetite.

Young people eat as friends

A widespread trend which is often regarded as an obstacle to the Court of the increase in obesity is that young people are heavily influenced by what they eat through their friends.

Parents, teachers, and Government health campaigns can quickly help the young people get educated, its decisions on food can change and see the friends to eat something else. The problem begins with children and often worsens in adolescents.

This problem was recently investigated by the school of London, hygiene and medicine tropical and published in the journal of Epidemiology community health.

The research analyzed the relationship between the social networks of young people (real networks, Facebook pas) and their weight and eating habits.

Their studies have shown that the friends in school are remarkably similar in terms of weight and eating habits. Children with higher body mass index tend to be friends with other overweight children.

Social isolation and obesity

Social isolation was also common in dining rooms and that often makes the problem worse. This was emphasized in the "exercise is not helping obese children" which has shown that often before overweight children who are inactive and concluded diet must be a child deal with reverse weight gain, lack the step of exercise.

The main conclusion is that their friends in school are very influential to changing the eating habits of children. Children want to be accepted in social groups and eat the same food types, regardless of how unhealthy or inappropriate, it is often a way to try to adapt to the norms.

Influence of the Park of power options

Although there is still major changes in the food industry with stricter rules passed by the Government, the influence of animation must be treated for schools too.

Too often, people quickly blame the parents not to let their children as well enough, however, this study shows that healthy parents may find that your children and adolescents are particularly rebellious against their options to adapt to the friends of their age.
