The proposal is to launch a contest of "father universe" where Roman Catholic clergy will be encouraged to participate in a bodybuilding competition similar to the competitions of Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger has been champion for many years.
Although the Catholic clergy will participate to the same professional and culturistes level, they will work for several hours a day, training, weighing of the performance of high volume and taking protein supplements to help build the muscles for the opening of the event which will take place in 2012.
The Pope hopes to celebrate the world of father event on 24 October, the day of the feast of St. Raphael the Archangel, who is the patron saint of health. This gives competitors time to prepare the first competition of 18 months.
It is expected that the competitors throughout the world will meet at the Vatican for the first event of next year, with future events, is organized by archbishops in the main cities of Catholic church. The rumour is that the 2013 father of the universe will be held in Brazil, hosted by Cardinal Brazilian Odilo Pedro Scherer in Sao Paulo.
Many members of the Catholic clergy is excited by this news and hope that may lead their herds to a healthier future, for example. Some expect that this will lead to more important things, including an event to compete with the Olympic Games, the Catholic games.
